A resin driveway is a tough, permeable and low-maintenance alternative to tarmac, concrete and block paving driveways. It’s a blend of natural aggregate and a resin binding agent that gives you a smooth, seamless finish with more than 150 colour blends to choose from.

Vuba resin bound kits are independently tested to be over 19 times more permeable than block paving (verified by the Flood Innovation Centre), so you won’t need to worry about puddles.

Why choose a Vuba resin bound driveway?

Vuba resin driveways are more expensive than traditional alternatives like tarmac, concrete or block paving, and poor installation can lead to problems. So why would you want to choose a Vuba resin driveway?

Trained and trusted installers

Many of the problems customers have with resin driveways stem from poor installation. The Vuba system is incredibly robust and long-lasting if it’s installed correctly. That’s why all of our installers are trained in exactly how to fit your driveway so it’s nothing short of perfect.

Long lasting. Just like our warranty

When we say Vuba resin driveways are built to last, we mean it. That’s why you get a product warranty of up to 25 years, depending on the base.

Great permeability

There’s nothing worse than stepping out of your car and into a puddle. That’s where the permeability of a Vuba driveway comes in. With the correct base and groundworks, it lets water through more than 19 times better than block paving.

Vuba resin driveway cost

A Vuba resin driveway is a premium surfacing solution. That means it’s more expensive than a tarmac, concrete or block paved driveway. That’s because it’s a better product, with better product control. You’re paying for the peace of mind of a driveway that will look and function just as well in 20 years as it does the day it was installed.

Obviously, the final cost will depend on how big your driveway is, and what state it’s in. But as a rule of thumb, ffor a full installation with sub-base and resin surfacing it’ll be more like £120-£160 per m².

Resin driveway FAQs

If it’s installed properly (by one of our expert installers) you can expect a lifespan of much longer than our up to 25 year warranty.

A resin driveway is made from a blend of natural aggregates and a resin binder. Installed right, it’s stronger than asphalt, more flexible than concrete and easier to maintain than block paving.

If your old drive needs removing and a new base installing, it will be around £120-£160 per m². Where you are, the shape of your driveway and any patterns or borders can affect this price.

Vuba resin driveways don’t hold dirt like traditional driveways. An occasional jetwash which will drain through the permeable base should be all most people need.

Vuba driveways were developed in the UK to handle anything the weather can throw at them - and more. Once installed and cured they can handle being baked in 40°C heat and repeatedly frozen and thawed with no problems at all.

It depends on the size of your driveway, and the size of the install company. Expect a smaller company to install no more than 150 m² in a day. A large company might install as much as 450 m². It’s worth bearing in mind that you won’t be able to walk on it for at least 48 hours after the installation is done, and you won’t be able to drive on it for at least a week.

We know our approved installers very well, and we’ve worked with them for some time. Local installers are new to Vuba so we haven’t seen so many of their projects yet, but we still vet them for quality before we agree to supply them.

For the best results, the longest lifespan and the full warranty, we always recommend using a VubaMac base. Permeable concrete or asphalt work too, although not as well as VubaMac. It is possible to lay a Vuba resin driveway over an existing concrete or tarmac driveway, but it may need repairs and the results won’t be as good as a proper base.

VubaMac is designed to work with Vuba resin bound driveways. The layers blend together and work as one to give you the most flexible and durable surface.

No. It’s also great for commercial spaces, resin bound paths, patios and any other surfaces you need.
